Yes, Virginia, there is a Christmas in Pennsylvania.
Bradley and Stephen were the first ones up. They rose around 2 am. They announced that Santa had come and their Dad said, “Great. Go on down there and look at the packages. We’ll join you around 7:00.” And so they did. When we went downstairs, they were laid out on the sofa watching TV. Guarding the gifts.
Santa knew that Sissy needed sweater Uggs. They are precious. Hey Santa — Mama needs sweater Uggs, too.
We gave the boys Dell netbooks this year. They were blown away. Yes, they’re spoiled … but that’s why we do what we do, right? Ironically, we’ve spent more time playing Uno than playing with computers.
Everyone is armed and dangerous … especially Bradley and Cameron. I think they have a future in the military. Or a South American militia.
Especially Cameron.
The best part of the day was seeing them all interact together. Usually, they grab their loot and split off, but not this year — this year they played together and laughed together and helped each other. It was a pretty thing to behold.
No holiday is complete without Bouncy Balls and ‘Mater Teeth.
Cameron and Drew love their computers. Kayla loves having hers all to herself! No longer having to share” is a great gift – even though you can’t wrap it.
And of course, everyone got wheels. That’s what we do — we ride bikes and scooters and boards and dangerous knee-skinning, head-banging stuff — the basement is clear for take-off!!!
Life is so good. I am so grateful for my family and friends, for the blessings that rain down on us and for the challenges that make us stronger.
Merry Christmas, y’all.
We sure love ya.

What a perfect looking morning! Mad and cam shared too! We bought the boys nerf guns too, how sad is it that a nerf gun can cost 50.00 but u can buy a bb gun for20.00???
I’ve been hit with enough of those nerf darts to tell you that a bb sometimes hurts less.
